§ 39.63. PUBLIC WORKS.

    (A) Classification: May be full-time hourly or part-time hourly, temporary or seasonal.
    (B) Characteristics of class.
    (1) An employee of this class is responsible for repair or replacement of traffic control devices, and the like, stop, speed and street name signs. Ditch work will include clean out and removal of debris that may hinder the flow of water.
    (2) Keep on hand materials to perform assigned duties.
    (C) Requirements of work.
    (1) Must have valid drivers license;
    (2) Operate machinery, vehicles and equipment,
    (3) Perform maintenance on machinery, vehicles and equipment, public streets, rights-of-way, and city owned buildings as required;
    (4) Remove snow from city streets and parking lots.
    (D) Training experience.
    (1) Ability to read and write in the English language and must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Working knowledge of supplies and equipment that will be used in his or her line of duty. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
    (2) Perform related work as required.
    (3) Prepare and maintain necessary records and reports, such as time sheets and daily activity logs.
