(B) Characteristics of the class. This is general janitorial work in cleaning, sanitizing, and trash removal in all city owned buildings. Employee shall work under the direction of the Mayor. Some grounds keeping may be required.
(C) Examples of duties. Vacuum carpets in offices; mop, wax, and buff tile floors; clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures; clean windows, doors and mirrors; dust furniture; replace light bulbs and all other work as directed.
(D) Minimum qualifications. Must be an honest, reliable and sober individual at least eighteen (18) years of age. Must be able to read and write the English language and carry out both verbal and written directions.
(E) Training and experience. Should be thoroughly familiar with janitorial supplies and equipment. Previous experience in this field is desirable.
